If you go by the Marshall County Courthouse block, you will find some new concrete on the southwest corner.  That is where the veteran’s memorial statue is going in. Jaret Heil, Marshall County Supervisor, talked about it on Open Forum yesterday morning.

Heil says that is an aggressive target date. With the Iowa Veterans Home being in Marshalltown, along with the office for the Iowa Commandant, Todd Jacobus, we are the home for veterans in the state.

Jacobus has enjoyed his time spent in Marshalltown and continues to feel the support for the Iowa Veterans Home throughout the year.
