One of the areas affected by the massive storm outbreak in Iowa yesterday was Story County. It was confirmed that a tornado hit the areas of Cambridge, Nevada, and Colo. According to Story County Emergency Management, first responders are still assessing the life safety and damages, but they could confirm there were downed power lines and much debris in the affected areas. Story County is asking people to stay home and out of areas that sustained damage. Ongoing information will be posted on the county’s website, storycountyiowa.gov, on Instagram @storycounty, and on Facebook at Story County Emergency Management, Story County, and Joseph Story.
