Earlier this month, members with MPACT went to a Co-responder National Convention.  David Hicks, Executive Director for YSS in Marshall County, went to the conference then joined the KFJB line to discuss.

Hicks mentions that there are a lot of teams from big cities, Marshalltown is a small fish in a big pond.  He learned that Marshalltown is able to offer better service than the big cities.

In Marshalltown the MPACT program is on for 6 days a week and 10 hours a day.  The big cities were asking Hicks how that is possible.

Chief Tupper mentioned last week on Central Iowa Today, there is funding for MPACT through the end of 2025 and they are looking for a way to continue to fund the program.
