The Marshalltown Airport does get busier during the summer, partly due to summer travel plans, but mostly due to Crop Dusters out working in the fields. Steve Valbracht, Manager of the Marshalltown Airport, tells KFJB listeners that people do not have much to worry about with those low flying planes.
Valbracht says that this industry is critical for the state of Iowa and it has a huge economic impact
Valbracht says some crop-dusting pilots travel around the country and help different areas during different seasons throughout the year.
