Coming up July 10th through the 13th is the Central Iowa Fair! Elizabeth Venneman, Youth Coordinator with the ISU Extension Office gave our listeners a preview into a unique event that will kick off the event on July 10th.
Venneman says that’s a fan favorite as who doesn’t love watching rabbits participate in a dog show-style even and racing around an obstacle course. Moving onto Thursday, there are plenty more shows in a jam-packed day.
She says she’s excited because horses, dogs, and dairy cattle are all back after not being at the fair last year. Friday also has a jammed back day, ending with a concert.
All that and so much more, including a Swine Show, the “Supreme Showmanship”, an event to highlight those who show off different kinds of animals, and bull riding on Saturday, to enjoy at the Central Iowa Fair coming this July to the Central Iowa Fairgrounds.
