With the summer officially starting yesterday, students across town have finally gotten a break from school, but that doesn’t mean the learning has stopped. The Summer STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Program themed “Sensing a Successful Summer”, put on by the ISU Extension office aims to teach elementary school children about each of the five senses.
That was Summer STEM Coordinator Hannah Hibbs detailing when each of the elementary schools will be hosting the event. She says the program is available for any student enrolled at one of the elementary schools.
To sign up, you can head on over to the Iowa State Extension Office, or you can show up the day of at the elementary school and you can get signed up.
