This past weekend, the Bobcat Softball team hosted the Bobcat Classic at the Marshalltown Community College. The Tournament started well for the Cats as they defeated BCLUW by a final score of 9-6. They then took on Assumption where the 4 runs from the Cats in the 3rd inning wasn’t enough as the Knights won it, 5-4. Then, on Saturday, Marshalltown took on the Pella Dutch who nearly pitched a shutout, taking the win 4-1. In the final game of the weekend, the Cats got off to an early 3-1 lead over Lisbon, but the Lions used a massive 8-run fifth inning to defeat the Cats, 9-4. Marshalltown is right back in action tonight as they host a double-header against Fort Dodge.
Marshalltown Baseball is back in action tonight as they look to bounce back from a pair of losses to Ames to end last week. They’ll also host the Fort Dodge Dodgers tonight at home. Game 1 is set to start at 5, with the night cap to immediately follow, right around 7pm. Both games will be streamed on the KFJB TV YouTube and Facebook pages with live commentary from voice of the Bobcats Brandon Lewis starting at 6:45 prior to the start of game 2.
