This weekend will be the final weekend the Automated Speed Cameras will not be issuing tickets to drivers. At 12:01am on Monday, July 1st, the speed cameras will resume issuing tickets to drivers. Initially the cameras were turned off as the Iowa Legislature made new rules around the Automated Traffic Cameras.
That is City Councilor Jeff Schneider who joined KFJB yesterday morning. There is a small change coming at this time as well.
The first threshold for a ticket is 11 – 20 mph over the speed limit. The two stationary cameras are located out by the S curve on Lincoln way and near Benjamin Drive on Governors Rd.
