Monday night, the Marshalltown Community School District discussed the options to improve Miller Middle School. 3 options have been talked about, a minor fix up at the school, gut the school and renovate, or completely rebuild the school.
That is Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Theron Schutte. He said the task force then made a recommendation
This led to a conversation of how the school will pay for the updates. Dr. Schutte says they will need to pursue a bond referendum.
Monday the board approved the recommendation from the task force. The next step is to get the proper signatures for a special election on the bond in November.
