The Marshalltown Police Department arrested 21-year-old, Ktwo Esa, for violating his pretrial release.  Esa was on trail from charges of attempted murder, 2 counts of willful injury, and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.  This stems from an incident in December of 2023 when a female reported a male came to her residence and began assaulting her with a bat, striking her in the arms and head.  A bystander who witnessed the attack was also struck.  Esa is being held in the Marshall County jail.
