KFJB was able to catch up with Melisa Fonseca after her win in the Marshalltown Ward 4 election.
Much of Fonseca’s campaign talked about bridging the gap with the Hispanic population in our community. She is encouraging people to show up and voice their opinions at the City Council meetings.
Fonseca is hoping that a familiar face may open the door for others to come out and speak up. Melisa toured City Hall and got some orientation work done yesterday afternoon. She will be sworn in before the City Council meeting on Monday. She says anyone can come and watch before the meeting at 10 W State St. on the 2nd floor.
