The Marshalltown Community School District announce the plans to update Miller Middle School, and through those plans there are additional plans to update Franklin Field and add Audio Visual in all Elementary Schools. Right now the school district is collecting signatures to bond out $57million. The signatures just mean that those people believe the tax payers should vote on this issue.
That is Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Theron Schutte. One thing Dr. Schutte has been proud of is lowering the school levy over the last few years.
If the school collects the proper amount of signatures, the vote will end up on the general election ballot in November. If the bond then passes, Dr. Schutte predicts construction to start at Miller in Spring of 2026.
