With the big storms we have seen this spring and summer it is always a good to remember where to find information.  The tornado sirens outside are for people working and playing outside.  Those that work inside and cannot hear the sirens, they also need a way to be alerted for inclement weather.

That is Marshall County Emergency Management Coordinator, Kim Elder.  She says that the easiest way to find Alert Iowa is to just search for it in google.

Elder says you can tailor the alerts to come either via email, text message, or phone call.  They will send the alerts to landlines and cell phones.  You can get the message to multiple platforms.
