The Marshalltown Fire Department recently got some new equipment after a couple gifts came from ITC and Alliant Energy.  The Marshalltown Fire Department recently fought a transformer fire in the transformer yard that houses the electricity made at the Alliant Energy Powerplant.

That is Interim Fire Chief, Christopher Cross.  He shares what they were able to purchase.

Chief Cross says that you can flow water or foam through this device.  The department used foam to battle the fire in the transformer yard.  The other new tool they purchased was a drone to help survey situations and keep firefighters safe.
