The numbers are in and the Iowa State Fair set an attendance record this year curing over 1.1 million fair fevers. 1,182,682 people attended this years Iowa State Fair, beating that 2019 record by 12,000. Sunday, the final day, saw 100,398, which was not quite a record but easily beat the 88,000 needed to set the new total attendance record. The weather this year was much cooler than last year, the final day last year only saw 85,000, and that day was 95 degrees at 8am.
Mark your calendars for next years fair, August 7 – 17th. The theme will be announced next month and before the holiday season they will have admission tickets for sale along with a Grandstand concert or two.
