Yesterday, the Marshalltown Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of S 16th St. around 10:45am. The reporting party stated a male was chasing a female and then left the scene in a black vehicle. Officers located the vehicle with 2 occupants in the 200 block of S 12th St. and when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspects fled off.
Eventually the suspects left their vehicle and began running away on foot leaving their vehicle near the 400 block of Park St. With the help of the K9 teams, officers were able to search the area and find both suspects. They were eventually taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County jail.
Suspects are 34-year-old Lance Schaum of Marshalltown now facing Eluding, 2 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 14 counts of traffic violations. And 47-year-old Luis Gonzale-Cervantes of Marshalltown, charged with Interference with Official Acts.
