Earlier this week, Marshall County Attorney’s Office announced that they have been receiving money from the National Opioid Settlement. Marshall County Attorney, Jordan Gaffney, shares what this settlement is.
Since 2022, Marshall County has been receiving money from these settlements and it has accumulated over $400,000. Gaffney talks about what the money can be used for.
Gaffney shares that Methamphetamine is still king in Marshall County and authorities deal with that more than Opioids. Grants can be submitted for funding, head to marshallcountyia.gov to apply and learn more. A letter of intent is due by 5pm September 27th to be eligible to receive any grant money.
