The Marshall County Sheriffs Office is helping at 2 different events to help families make sure their car seats are installed correctly.  Sheriff Joel Phillips joined the KFJB line yesterday to give some details.

The Marshall County Sheriffs Office has 5 trained technicians who are nationally certified by Safe Kids.  They are updated yearly on any new standards for car seats.

Extreme temperatures can degrade the plastic, so they will be checking the car seats for that.  They will also be checking the installation of the seat.  Many times families can miss one small step to better secure the car seat.  Double check your car seats at these 2 events coming up later this month.
