Tomorrow marks 1 week until Trick or Treating in Marshalltown, so KFJB took the time to figure out what is the best Halloween Candy.  Surveying over 300 elementary aged students, 56% say they prefer a chocolate type of candy over sweet.  The survey allowed students to rank their top 3 choices, and votes were tallied using a weighted scale, giving more points to first place.

Twix had the most 1st place and tied for the most 2nd place votes and ran away as the most preferred candy with 216 total points.  No other candy cleared 200 points. Nerds/Nerds Rope came in 2nd place with the 2nd most 1st place votes and tied for the most 2nd place votes.  The final candy for the podium was Gummy Bear/Worms which tied the most amount of 2nd place votes.  The only follow up question I have for students’ trick or treating, left or right Twix?

Shout out to the teachers and schools below for taking time to participate and passing along to their colleagues….
