Announced yesterday by the Marshalltown Community School District, they will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony next week for the Career and technical Education wing, referred to as the CTE project. This ribbon cutting will take place October 31st, at 4:30.
The architect behind the project, Kevin Eipperle, spoke at the school board meeting last night saying the project is mostly complete and students have been using the space for a few weeks. While Eipperle was asking for the School Board to approve some charges, he reminded them that they are nearly $2 million under budget. The cost so far has been $8.4 million and initially it was $10.6 million. Even with a few change orders coming, Eipperle feels the project will end up under budget.
