A program through the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship started recently called Choose Iowa.  It is all about getting Iowans to purchase more locally grown, Iowa food.  There is an easy way to identify Iowa grown food when out shopping.

That is Beth Romer, Program Director with Choose Iowa.  She says people can visit their website, ChooseIowa.com, then navigate to ‘Find Local’ to see what is available near you.

Another cool feature on the website is the ‘What’s in Season?’ as that will identify what farmers are growing right now.  Use Choose Iowa to help support local farmers and growers.
