Last week, the Marshalltown Area United Way made a roughly 5% jump from 31% to 36% after their Power of the Purse Event that nearly raised $50,000.  Kendra Sorenson, Executive Director, joined the KFJB line this week to share their new total.

The Marshalltown Area United Way supports 27 agencies and 31 programs across the county.  Through those programs they support nearly 13,000 individuals.  Sorenson shares how you can donate to the United Way.

If you do plan to stop by their office, give yourself an extra 15 minutes because the ladies with the United Way love to talk about the programs they support.
