Postseason action began last night for the Marshalltown Bobcats as they headed east to take on the Iowa City West Trojans. The Cats came in after a rough outing at the conference meet, and without senior Laney Danielson who was out. The shorthanded cats battled hard, but struggled to hit the final gear in the first set, falling 25-19. The second set was all Trojans, 25-11. In the 3rd set, the Bobcats led much of the early going, but again failed to slam the door shut, falling in a sweep, 25-21. The Cats season ends at a final record of 14-22, while the 13-17 trojans will take on Dowling Catholic next Tuesday.
