Last night the Marshalltown City Council approved the recommendation for Captain Chris Jones to take over as the next Chief of Police.  Jones was approved with a unanimous vote by the City Council.  Current Police Chief Mike Tupper raves about this decision on KFJB yesterday morning.

At the City Council meeting, Chief Tupper spoke at the meeting talking about the day he was hired on as Police Chief in 2011.

Multiple officers and individuals spoke highly about hiring Chris Jones as Police Chief.  Jones has been a Police Officer in the community since 1996.
