The Reimagine Miller Middle School Bond needed 60% support to pass on Tuesday, and it received nearly 69% of the votes. Dr. Theron Schutte, Superintendent of the Marshalltown Community School District, says he’s proud the community supported the School Board and this idea.
Miller Middle School turns 100 years old this year and has been a place that has needed updates for a while.
Dr. Schutte then talks about next steps for this project, he says there is probably a year’s worth of design and planning.
The school can begin the process for the Franklin Field updates and construction on that part of the project could begin in 2025 along with the audio visual for the elementary classrooms.
