The Marshall County Sheriffs Office has partnered with the Governors Traffic Safety Bureau for the STEP. STEP stands for Special Traffic Enforcement Program. There will be an increased law enforcement presence from now through the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

That is Marshall County Sheriff Joel Phillips. He shares that last year over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, 34 people died or suffered severe injuries on Iowa roadways.
