For those that may be making the Thanksgiving meal for the first time, or if you just want some extra help, there is a helpline out there. The Butterball Turkey Talkline is a number people can call if they have questions about prepping their Thanksgiving holiday meal. The main course is always Turkey, and they take time to thaw.

That is Jan Allen with the Butterball Talkline. She says if people need to thaw their turkey quicker, you can use cold water.

She says once the turkey is thawed out, chefs have 4 days to cook it. We are officially 1 week until thanksgiving, so those large turkeys may need to be moved to the refrigerator soon.  Learn more at butterball.com
