We are less than a week away from Thanksgiving and many people will be traveling over the next week. Brian Ortner with AAA Iowa, says the travel numbers appear to be higher than 2019 and pre-pandemic numbers.

That number is up from 6.2 million in 2023 and beats the 2019 high of 6.3 million. Ortner shares that there are some time travels should look for if they want to avoid traffic.

Traveling can bring stress at any moment, Ortner says the best thing for people to practice is patience. Whether that’s encountering traffic, construction, or your unruly in-laws (bad presents, family photos) this holiday season.
