Yesterday was the first home meet for the Bobcat Bowling teams and they faced off against Fort Dodge. The Girls get a big win over the Dodgers winning 2,367 – 1,733. The boys also get a victory on their home lanes, they beat the Dodgers 2,743 – 2,558. Their next meet will be on Tuesday next week when they travel to Ottumwa.
The Bobcat girls basketball team played their first home game of the season last night when they hosted the Des Moines Lincoln Railsplitters. The cats head into halftime with a slim 1 point lead after guard Kinsley Bowie hit 2 3-pointers to push the game to 18 – 17. The cats allowed 9 points in the 2nd half and cruise to a 40 – 26 victory pushing them to 2 – 0 on the season.
The 2nd game in the Roundhouse last night was between the Boys teams. It was a tough battled game that was close until the final buzzer but the Railsplitters hold onto the lead and get the victory 59 – 51. The Bobcats will travel to Newton on Thursday for a doubleheader, and both of those games will air on KFJB-TV.
