CIRSI, or Central Iowa Residential Services, Inc., is a local non-profit working with individuals who have intellectual and mental challenges live on their own. CIRSI has 13 homes that they operate in their 4-county service area, but executive director Jeff Vance, wants to build a residential home that is fully accessible for wheelchairs.

He says that people who are in a wheelchair can find an apartment or home that is wheelchair accessible, but those who need 24hr assistance on top of that are struggling.

Vance says that they have been working hard on this project and more details will be coming out in 2025.
