Iowa Senate District 26 will have a new representative this year after Jeff Edler decided to not run for re-election. Kara Warme won the seat and is excited for the legislative session to begin on Monday.
Warme says that she understands that she is a freshman, and looking at this 4-year term like a college student.
Warme is part of 5 different committees, Commerce, Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs Committee, Appropriations, and Transportation. During her time in office, she wants to hear from her constituents.
She says that handle is active on Facebook and Instagram. The 2025 Legislative Session will begin Monday, then Tuesday Gov. Kim Reynolds will give her Condition of the State address.
