Monday night the Marshalltown Community School District held their school board meeting. Dr. Theron Schutte, Superintendent of Schools, stopped by the KFJB studio yesterday to highlight some major topics.

He says the first day of school will be Monday, August 25th, as that is the first day they can begin school.

Dr. Schutte says the proposed Spring Break for 2026 will line up with MCC and the State Colleges. The final day of school is scheduled for June 4th. The 2025-26 Calendar will be approved at the February School Board Meeting.
