For a few years now, Marshalltown has not had a homeless shelter or a place for homeless individuals to go. Non-profits and the city decided to hold a meeting and create a Homelessness Task Force.

That is City Councilor Mike Ladehoff. He continues to share what this group is doing to help

This problem will not be fixed overnight and will eventually need a long-term solution. Ladehoff says people can support the homelessness task force by offering to help at the warming centers in town or by donating. All donations can be given to Kendra Sorensen at the United Way as they are sponsoring the task force.
