It was a rematch last (Monday) night in Fort Dodge between the Bobcats and Dodgers in both boys and girls basketball.

In the opener it was the Bobcats fighting back late. After trailing by 4 in with just minutes to go, the Cats caught a break late that led to some magic from Kinsley Bowie on a pass from Millie Heitmann.

That was voice of the Bobcats Brandon Lewis right here on KFJB and KFJB TV with the call as Bowie found some space in transition to give the cats the late lead and the win, 33-32. It’s the Cats’ 6th win of the year and first of conference play. The boys game also concluded late, but the cats were on the opposite end of heartbreak as the Dodgers roared back from a double-digit deficit in the second half to force overtime on a layup by Reggie Pederson. From there the Dodgers would carry the momentum and seal the deal late with a 58-52 win. The Cats fell to 4-11 on the year with the loss. Both Bobcat teams will be in action again on Friday when they play host to Waterloo East.
