Paul Geilenfeldt is the Marshall County Engineer, and he is constantly watching his budget in the winter, as snow removal can vary from year to year.
Geilenfeldt and his team take care of all of the county roads during a snow storm. He says the county has saved some money in recent years with the mild winters. Even the small storms cost money as they will put salt on the roads. Geilenfeldt then talks about the LOST Special Election, as those dollars directly affect his budget.
No matter how the vote ends up on March 4th, the money will be collected no matter what. The vote on March 4th is really about keeping that money with Marshall County. LOST accounts for about $1.7 million, and 50% goes to roads and bridges.
