The LOSST special election for the unincorporated areas of Marshall County is coming up on March 4th. This election is over whether to keep the 1 cent sales tax in the Marshall County budget, this 1% accounts for about $1.7 million.

According to the Marshall County Auditor Recorders office, absentee voting will begin on February 12th. In-person voting will take place at the Election Center, 107 S 1st Ave., from 8:00am – 4:30pm, from Wednesday, February 12th to Monday, March 3rd.

To request an absentee ballot by mail, you will need to complete the absentee ballot request form and return it to the Auditor/Recorders office by Tuesday, February 18th. Request forms can be found online at elections.marshallcountyia.gov
