As the City of Marshalltown discusses new rules around garbage pick up, some residents have begun seeking other options. This has led to Knight Sanitation, out of Eldora, getting phone calls for service in Marshalltown. Knight Sanitation has filled out the application for a new haulers license.

That is owner of Knight Sanitation, Kellie Drury, who attended the meeting last night to answer any questions. Immediately Councilor Greg Nichols asked about Recycling, and Drury confirmed they also handle recycling. Then Councilor Jeff Schneider gave his thoughts.

The Councilors then voted 2 – 5 denying the new application for Knight Sanitation, with Fonseca and Ladehoff in approval.
