The Marshalltown Fire Department announced yesterday that the victim in the fire in Marshalltown on Monday has passed away. The victim was a 3-year-old girl who was found unconscious on the 2nd floor of a burning home. She was resuscitated before being airlifted to Iowa City and the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
