A collision back on February 4th, has resulted in the death of one of the drivers. The collision occurred near the intersection of Iowa Ave. and 18th Ave. in Marshalltown around 6:30 am. A pickup truck rear ended a semi-truck.

The driver of the pickup truck was Carlos Hernandez-Caro, age 28 from Oklahoma, was injured and taken UnityPoint Hospital and eventually to Des Moines Area hospital. The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the accident. On February 10th, Mr. Hernandez-Caro succumbed to his injuries sustained.

The accident is still under investigation.
