Thursday evening, the Marshall County Sheriffs Office arrested a man for burglary, assault, and more. It is alleged that Corey Allen DeJoode, age 34, entered a barn near Gilman without the owner’s permission and assaulted a man while having a handgun in his possession.

DeJoode has been charged with second degree burglary, going armed with intent, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and driving while barred. It is believed the incident took place February 10th and he was arrested on February 13th.

The defendant is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $35,000 cash only bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 24 at 9:30 a.m.
