This week is National FFA week, which is Future Farmers of America. There are FFA clubs at the local high schools, Marshalltown recently started a club 3 years ago. Vice President Austin Taylor does not come from a farming family, but has enjoyed his time in FFA.

Gavin Freiberg talks about how people do not need to come from agriculture to join this group. Luke Stalzer also chimes in

This group learns about different aspects of Agriculture and then compete against other schools. Stalzer shares how they did at a recent competition.

Marshalltown was the only chapter that had a team for each competition at Subdistricts. In 2 weeks from Saturday they will have their District competition. The schools compete between different LDE, Leadership Development Events. Taylor shares some topics they will cover.
