Boys State Wrestling started yesterday at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Bobcat wrestler Colby Cross lost in his first match yesterday moving him to the consolation side of the bracket. The other 3 bobcat wrestlers all won their 1 match. Xayvion Anderson was at state last year and is determined to be at the top of the podium this year.

Anderson, ranked #3, has beaten both the #1 and #2 wrestlers previously. His mindset is all about what he can control

Johan Gomez won his first match yesterday 8 – 5 in overtime. Gomez was at State 2 years ago as a sophomore. There is a couple names Gomez is looking forward to.

3A wrestling will begin at 9am this morning, weigh ins are at 7am. We will continue coverage throughout the day on KFJB
