Yesterday morning the Marshall County Board of Supervisors had their regular Wednesday meeting.  Here’s KFJB’s David Braga with the report.

One of the primary topics of discussion was an update from Marshalltown Public Works Director Heather Thomas on the renovations coming to downtown.

Thomas elaborated that with the limitations of the area, there was really only one place this plaza could end up.

The Courthouse has always been a staple of Marshalltown, including being featured in the Marshalltown Strong logo that came from the city coming together following the tornado that sparked this discussion. While there is more planned in the updates to downtown, the Courthouse is primed to remain the heart of Main Street and Marshalltown.
