The Marshalltown Bobcat wrestling program, both boys and girls, had a total of 6 wrestlers compete in the state tournament. 2 of those wrestlers came back on the podium. Nick Wise was 7th at 132 and Xayvion Anderson was 2nd at 165.
That is head coach Lucas Cross, who has now been the coach for 4 years and truly feels like his fingerprints are all over the program.
Cross grew is coaching staff this year and added a full time girls head coach, Isaiah Cox. Coach Cox was able to help 2 girls make it to state this year. He says both started out the season a bit bumpy.
Coach Cox said he had a blast coaching the girls this year and their attitudes is what has made this year so much fun and special. He is excited to see where this program goes in the future.
