From a release yesterday made by the Marshalltown Police Department, they began an investigation into April McKibbin, 45, of Marshalltown following a report of misappropriated money from their bank account from an unnamed organization. The organization also provided fictitious bank statements that McKibbin had provided to them in an attempt to cover up her crimes. In total, McKibbin stole over $40,000 from two separate organizations. Yesterday, after she turned herself in, the Marshalltown Police Department filed charges of 1st and 2nd degree theft as well as forgery. This investigation is still active and anyone with information about these incidents are asked to contact the Marshalltown Police Department at 641-754-5725.
