As of Wednesday, March 12th, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $2.91 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 7 cents from last week’s price and are down 23 cents from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.08, down 3 cents from last week’s price but still 17 cents higher than the average price in Iowa.

Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell 6 cents this week with a statewide average of $3.35. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.76 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 28 cents lower than the national average of $3.63.

Natural gas prices were down $.15 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $4.19 MMbtu.
