Freshman State Senator, Kara Warme, has now gone through the process of guiding a bill through the Iowa Senate. Warme recently shared all the steps it takes to get a bill to a vote.

Warme, who is part of the Commerce Committee, has been working on a bill for the Bankers Association.

She says this was not a controversial bill, though she was ready to answer any questions when she presented the bill to the entire Senate.

Warme was initially confused when the board was turning red

She says all freshman have some sort of prank pulled on them throughout the legislative session. Warme is glad the bill passed and the prank is over.
