The city of Marshalltown has a transit service that has 4 routes covering the city throughout the day. The routes go by main stops in Marshalltown like McFarland Clinic, Primary Health, and the UnityPoint Hospital. It also stops by Walmart, the Schools, and downtown Marshalltown. Marshalltown Transit Administrator Kevin Pigors says it is very affordable to ride the bus all day, 1 way is only $1.

The monthly passes are $35 and will give unlimited rides for the month. Student passes cost $20 for 20 rides, and students can get a punch card which are available at the schools.

Pigors says that all the routes and fees are posted online at Marshalltown-ia.gov under the transit department. The buses start at 7am each morning and run until 5pm
