NASCAR made the decision to come back to the Iowa Speedway this year, for the 2nd year in a row. In 2024 NASCAR came in July, this year they moved their visit to Newton back to August. President of the Iowa Speedway, Eric Peterson, says being further back in the schedule will create more competition.

Peterson shares the dates and races for the NASCAR weekend

The ARCA Menards Series and Xfinity are the minor leagues of NASCAR and those drivers are jockeying to move up to the next series.

Peterson says that drivers have loved the Iowa Speedway and the short 7/8 of a mile track.

Indy Car is also coming back to the Iowa Speedway this summer, they will be at the Iowa Speedway July 11 – 13th, which makes for a quick turn around for the NASCAR race the first weekend in August.
