There was not an empty seat in the house and many people were standing in the back for the 2025 Community Foundation Awards Grant Ceremony. They presented 28 different grants, totaling nearly $136,000. 22 of the grants presented came from the 3 student philanthropic organizations at East Marshall, West Marshall, and Marshalltown High Schools. That means the board granted out six different grants, tied for the lowest a board has given out in the past.

The six grants given out by the board went to; The City of Marshalltown – Linn Creek District Project, Friends of Riverside Cemetery – Lake Woodmere Water Pump System, CAPS (Child Adolescent and Parent Support) – Crisis Intervention Program, Marshalltown Auditorium Foundation – Smoke Hatch Project, Marshalltown Little League – Baseball Field Improvements, and Center Associate – Urgent Care.

In total, the County Endowment grant programs have given out 690 grants to 145 Marshall County organizations totaling over $1.9 million. Learn more about the Community Foundation at cfmarshallco.org
